The Jasper Galleries’ aim is to promote Midlands-based artists and their work, representing a vast range of mediums, styles, themes, and price points. The Jasper Galleries seek to reach all patrons from beginning collectors with smaller budgets to longtime art lovers by collaborating not just with a variety of artists but with several local locations. The Jasper Galleries currently curate art in 5 places around the city—Harbison Theatre, the Koger Center, the Meridian Building, Motor Supply Co., SoundBites Eatery—and one place virtually via the Tiny Gallery.
While each location has slight variations, each share the same mission as well as the same process:
The Jasper Project retains a 25% commission.
All artists complete W-9s, sign contracts with the gallery manager, and are paid via check.
Artists apply to the location of their choice via the Jasper website and are selected via the specific gallery’s manager and/or the Jasper Galleries Committee.
Jasper is responsible for all transactions, while the artist is responsible for delivering purchased art to the patron.
Jasper features information about all gallery participants via our website as well as promotes all shows via our social media.
Purchased art remains until the conclusion of the show at which time the artist arranges delivery with patrons.
Opening receptions are held for physical shows, and featured online articles are written for virtual shows.
