The Jasper Project presents the premiere staged reading of the Winner of the 2026 Jasper Play Right Project, The Counting Table by DK Turner.

Join us September 13th at 4pm at the Columbia Music Festival Association for the reading and then break bread with the cast and crew following the play with a special meal inspired by The Counting Table.

Directed by iconic theatre artist Jocelyn Sanders, The Counting Table tells the story of a Southern family as it deals with issues of legacy, tradition, and worldly goods. Starring Marilyn Mattheus with a dynamic cast that includes Bonita Peeples, Samuel McWhite, Tashera Pravato, and Mykkel Wright.
