My work centers around embracing the principles of Dadaism. I’m drawn to the quirky and rebellious spirit of Dadaism, and I aspire to infuse my work with elements of absurdity and nonconformity.
Artist Statement
76 ICE Agents Raid the Big Parade reimagines a scene from The Music Man as a cheerful political parade, with ICE agents marching behind Leavitt and Trump. This work treats state power as show business: bright, catchy, and upbeat. While the current administration’s use of ICE as enforcetainment continues to drive TV ratings, it’s clear that there is something rotten in America: the music continues to get more out of tune each day.
