Shelby LeBlanc is a contemporary painter from Columbia, SC and has been active since 2015. She favors acrylic paint for most of her work, however some of her works delve into watercolor, inks, crayon, or mixed media incorporating book pages, maps, or glass. Much of her works are inspired by the time spent away from home, from the Low Country of South Carolina to her trips to Africa, Costa Rica, Mexico, Europe, Thailand, and French Polynesia. LeBlanc paints in a variety of styles and mediums over many different subject matters, however her work is always recognizable- beautiful, dramatic, and demands attention. Over the years LeBlanc has participated in solo and group exhibits throughout South Carolina with Richland Public Library, 701 Whaley, Rob Shaw Gallery, State of the Art Gallery, Spencer Art Gallery, Art Mecca, and Affordable Art of Charleston. Her knowable murals include London and Lace’s “Lady of Divine,” Craft and Draft Irmo, Beirkeller Columbia, well as Charleston's Frothy Beard Brewery, Push Digital, and The Charleston Pour House. She produced illustrations for the children’s book “Stella Finds Her Home,” written by William Baker, which was published and released in 2018. In 2022, she was recognized as Best Visual Artist of Columbia by Post and Couriers Freetimes Magazine.
